Paul
Rappleyea has always held a deep appreciation and love of nature. He has hiked
and camped extensively his entire life – and always carries a camera. Over
the years Paul has developed a large library of photos. In 2002 he founded Nature
Captured to market his work and share his love of nature, and hopefully to kindle
that love in others.
In 2002 one of Paul’s photos, “Early Morning Light”, was
selected as the Grand Prize winner in Adirondack Life magazine’s annual
contest. He has had other photos appear in Adirondack Life, and in The Conservationist.
In addition to photography Paul enjoys writing, and had an article published
in the December 2002 issue of The Conservationist. The article, “Bearly
Contained Curiosity”, followed a four day adventure tracking a black bear
through the snowy Catskill Mountains
This web site offers a small selection of Paul’s work. More pages will
be added periodically – please check back with us to see what’s
new. And if you’d like a particular photo or scene that you don’t
see, please drop us an e-mail and ask, and we’ll let you know if we have
something to fill your needs. Thanks
